Playoff Update
The Miller Law Office and Dr. Ranieri's each won its respective semi-final play-off game on Monday to move into Wednesday's Championship for L.G.S.L.'s Developmental Division.

Miller Law Office raced to a 11 to 4 lead entering the final inning.  Nichols Grocery mounted a rally that saw them plate six runs and leave the bases loaded in dropping the game to Miller's 11 to 10.

Dr. Ranieri's scored early to take a 6 to 2 lead and used good team defense to upend the regular season leaders  Ben Franklin Plumbing  6 to 5. 

Wednesday on Field One Dr. Ranieri will face The Miller Law Office for the Championship trophies. 

On Field Four, Nichols Grocery will play Ben Franklin Plumbing in the Bill (Howard) vs. Bill (Gaynor) challenge.  The winning team in this game only gets to dump a bucket of water over the loosing teams Manager. 

After the games please join us for our awards ceremony.  All players will receive a trophy and a team picture.

What you need:

All you need is a glove, a pair of sneakers, and some energy! LGSL provides the rest - bats, balls, safety equipment, dedicated coaching and support, and softball fields second to none at our electronics park complex located off Electronics Parkway in Salina.

Week 1 Update

The Liverpool Girls Softball League's Developmental Division opens its 37th season this week with close games and great plays.


Monday Ben Franklin Plumbing beat Miller Law Office as Serena Spencer pitched a complete game and had 12 strikeouts in her first start on the mound.  Allie Low pitched the entire game for Miller's Law Office and didn't allow any walks while going three for three at the plate with two doubles and a triple.

 

In the other opening game on Monday, Nichols Grocery and Dr. Ranieri's played to a 8 to 8 tie that went six innings.  Domenica Pascarella had a double and a triple for Nichols Grocery as both teams had good defensive plays to keep the game tied in the extra inning.

Wednesday's action had the Miller Law Office team registering its first win of the season by defeating Dr. Rainieri's.  Leahana Keeling pitched a complete game in her first game on the hill while making some strong fielding plays also.

On the other diamond Wednesday,Nichols Grocery scored two runs in the top of the fifth to come from behind in beating Ben Franklin Plumbing.  Melina Topinzis had her first softball hit and drove in her first run for Nichols Grocery and Kaylee Marshall had three hits Ben Franklin Plumbing.

Week 2 Update

Week two in the Developmental Division of the Liverpool Girls Softball League had two spirited games that brought the standings closer.

The Miller Law Office beat Nichols Grocery behind the hitting of Ame Judware who also caught the entire game.  For Nichols Madelyn Bennett pitched her first game and had two strikeouts.

Ben Franklin Plumbing topped Dr. Ranieri on field two.    Wednesday games were postponed due to field conditions.

 

Week 3 Update
Nice warm weather was a welcomed addition to this weeks games at Electronics Park. The Ben Franklin Plumbing team paced the action with two victories in the Liverpool Girls Softball Leagues Developmental Division.

On Monday,  Dr. Ranieri's beat the Miller Law Office as Marina Blasi got her first hit of the season.  Brooke Buchanan drove in the winning run for Dr. Ranieri's  while Chloe Miller made her debut on the mound, pitching three innings in relief.

On the other diamond, Ben Franklin Plumbing edged out Nichols Grocery as Ben Franklin's Claire Gaynor threw home to Kaitlyn Lardeo to end the contest and prevent the tieing run from scoring.  Stephanie Pascarella and Emerson Calabria each had two hits a piece for Nichols Grocery.

Wedneday Jakhara Bolds and Erin Edinger each had three hits a piece to lead Nichols Grocery over The Miller Law Office.  Ashley Pickard had four hits for The Miller Law Office.

Ben Franklin Plumbing beat Dr. Ranieri's on Wednesday with Michelle Cerio contributing three hits and Jillian Himes added a big hit with the bases loaded.


Week 4 Update

As the June schedule takes hold of the Liverpool Girls Softball League's Developmental Division, the competition is heating up at Electronics Park. 

Ben Franklin Plumbing has moved to the front of the pack behind the strong play of its fifth graders Kaitlyn Lardeo, Michelle Cerio, Serena Spencer and Kaylee Marshall.

Millers Law Office has played good and steady  softball led by Allie Low, Leahana Keeling, Julia D'Arcangelis and Chloe Miller.

Nichols Grocery has played well this season with inspired play from Nicole and Danielle Wilson, Domenica Pascarella and Morgan Robinson.

Dr. Ranieri's a team that gets better with every game is led by Olivia Sherwin, Alyssa Giarrusso, Alexandra Gonzalez and Lauren Caldwell.
